know how to have a great town festival. Joyce and the rest of "The Beer Ladies" really worked hard to make this an event to be remembered. I'm not sure if the new record was set (25 kegs of beer in 2 days) because of obvious reasons! Yeah! I will find out and let you know. And the deer exhibit was a hunters dream. WOW!! Hey. Thanks to Joice for having The WRB out to play. We had a great time and hope to come back. And, to all the support people who make it happen behind the scenes: The Hinkles for the flatbed trailer for The WRB to play on, the Legion for the use of the parking lot, Defiance Beverage for the Ice Cold Beer, all the vendors, all the counsel members, and Pioneer's finest for keeping an eye on everything. Thank You Pioneer! Next time playing here: TBA |

the annual KUNKLE 4th of JULY Parade and festival!! The people lined the streets of Kunkle to watch their favorites cruise thru town. Horse drawn and motor driven alike, a no less than celestial showing. The sandwiches and beans were out of this world and beverages flowed endlessly. There was live entertainment with Cactus and Phleshwound (I forgot to tell the guys from Phleshwound that they were WELCOME for the use of the WRB's PA system...sigh) The amazing vocals of Dawn. And, like I said...ELVIS was in the house!! And of course...things really BLASTED OFF when THE WORK RELEASE BAND fired up all 5 burners....Untill the black and gold rolled up at 12:30am!!! But good 'ol Terry took all the heat for the band and we got by unscathed!!! Thanks buddy. And to all the SUPER people of Kunkle and around there... | DEFIANCE ELKS Lodge 1760 Jefferson Ave Defiance,OHIO |
| The Defiance Elks Lodge was the place to be, along with THE WORK RELEASE BAND this past weekend at their annual Halloween costume party. Kim Mains and her helpers had completely transformed the party room into a den of fright with all the frightful decorations like spiders and ghosts. Costumes were exciting, original, and awards were handed out to the best. That was a hard call to make as all who dressed were GREAT ! The Work Release Band wishes to thank all who dressed and Rocked Out with us. We appreciate playing for you all. Thanks to Kim and all the staff who made us feel all at home. The WRB hopes to be with you next Halloween, too Next time playing here: T B A |
